Statement on Modern Slavery
Luxwood manufactures and installs structures, equipment and electronic systems for small through to large scale modular buildings.
Employing people directly and using a trusted network of subcontractors, Luxwood has the following policies in place to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking is excluded from its supply chain:
-
All products services developed and provided by Luxwood are prepared in Australia by Australian based contractors who employ staff based on awards or fair compensation
-
Luxwood does not outsource its work or services to providers based outside Australia
-
Luxwood assesses each potential subcontractor to ensure that their operation does not involve modern slavery. All potential subcontractors are advised that practices that result in modern slavery are unacceptable to Luxwood
-
International suppliers are asked to confirm that their operations and subcontract supply chains do not involve modern slavery
-
Regular reviews of subcontractors’ employment practices are undertaken to maintain this commitment to exclude modern slavery in our supply chain
-
Ethical purchasing practices are in place to avoid purchasing equipment and consumables from suppliers who may have modern slavery in their supply chain.
All staff and subcontractors have individual responsibility for understanding and applying this approach to ensure that modern slavery is not used in our supply chains. Company management, staff and subcontractors are fully committed to excluding modern slavery in our supply chain.
